The Juvenile Services Education Program (JSEP) provides educational programs to detained and committed youth in the Department of Juvenile Services residental facilities.

In Focus
MSDE Assumes Education Program at the William Donald Schaefer House in Baltimore City.
Transition of educational services from Department of Juvenile Services to Maryland State Department of Education gains momentum.


Direct services are provided in core academic subjects in five detention facilities and one treatment facility. Career Technology Education and transition/life skills programs are also provided.
