How to Obtain a Certificate

1.

I am a recent  (within the last five years) graduate of a Maryland Approved Program.

2.

I am a recent (within the last five years) graduate of an out-of-state approved educator preparation program.

3.

I hold a valid professional certificate from another state.

4.

I hold (or held) a valid professional certificate from another state and I have two years of satisfactory, full-time teaching experience.

5.

I hold a valid, professional certificate from another state and I have three years of satisfactory, full-time teaching experience.

6.

I have a baccalaureate degree or higher and no educator preparation.

7.

I have a degree from an institution outside the United States.

8.

I am an individual who holds a valid Maryland certificate and I want to add another certification area (an endorsement).

9.

I am an individual who holds a Maryland certificate and I want to renew my certificate.

10.

I am an individual who held a valid Maryland certificate and I want to reinstate my certificate.

11.

I hold a baccalaureate or higher degree and I am interested in alternative certification.
