Applicants interested in becoming a family child care provider, opening a child care center or Non-public nursery school should call your local Regional Office to register for an upcoming orientation.
If you are a new applicant, we encourage you to view the applicable licensing regulations before you attend your orientation session. PROVIDERS, PLEASE NOTE!
SIDS – SUDDEN INFANT DEATH SYNDRONE INFORMATION
All family child care registration applicants and providers who wish to care for children under the age of 2 years must first complete an OCC-approved SIDS training course.
OCC-approved SIDS training is available through:

Please note that these online courses are produced in other states. However, the course contents are fully approved by OCC as meeting Maryland child care requirements.
