Outreach & Support for Informal Caregivers
Through contracts with the Office of Child Care (OCC), certain programs provide opportunities for informal providers who are paid through the Child Care Subsidy program (also known as "Purchase of Care," or "POC") to improve the quality of care they provide especially in the areas of health, safety, and child development. Opportunities may include support groups, speakers, workshops, seminars, training, mentoring, incentives for participants, and information on state community services.
The following is a list of OCC's outreach & support contractors:
Howard County Department of Citizen Services
Prince George's Child Resource Center, Inc.
Southern Maryland Child Care Consortium
Baltimore City Department of Social Services Caregivers
