Teaching Opposites

Targeted Age: Zero to Six Months

Hold the baby and move about the house talking and demonstrating the following things:

  • The light is off—the light is on.
  • The door is open—the door is closed.
  • The towel is on the rack—the towel is on the floor.
  • I 'm lifting you up—I 'm putting you down

Doing the actions for the baby until the baby can do them for himself/herself will motivate the child tremendously.
