American Council on Rural Special Education (ACRES): The American Council on Rural Special Education (ACRES) is an organization comprised of special educators, general educators, related service providers, administrators, teacher trainers, researchers, and parents who are committed to the enhancement of services to students and individuals living in rural America.
Culturally & Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS): The CLAS Institute identifies, evaluates, and promotes effective and appropriate early intervention practices and preschool practices that are sensitive and respectful to children and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. www.clas.uiuc.edu
Multicultural Early Childhood Team Training (MECTT): George Mason University (GMU) and the Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC) develop training curriculum to prepare parent and professional teams to work with diverse families of young children with disabilities.
National Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (NECTAC): NECTAC is a national technical assistance consortium working to support states, jurisdictions, and others to improve services and results for young children with disabilities and their families.
Zero to Three: ZERO TO THREE is the nation's leading resource on the first three years of life. They are a national non-profit charitable organization whose aim is to strengthen and support families, practitioners and communities to promote the healthy development of babies and toddlers.

Individuals with Disabilities Educational Act (IDEA): The IDEA Practices Web site is developed and maintained by Education Development Center, Inc.(EDC). EDC is a nonprofit educational research and development organization located in Newton, MA, with more than 250 projects around the globe. Throughout its 40 year history, EDC has been involved in numerous projects and programs focusing on children and youth with disabilities. EDC is working closely with CEC to create a resource-rich and highly interactive Web site that will provide service providers and local administrators with information and support for IDEA-related concerns, issues, and strategies that work.
United States Census Data:
The United States Census Bureau is the preeminent collector and provider of timely, relevant, and quality data about the people and economy of the United States.
Maryland Data Center: The State Data Center program is a cooperative program established in 1978 between each of the states and the Census Bureau. The purpose of the program is to make census information available locally through a network of State agencies, universities, libraries, and regional and local governments.
Maryland Committee for Children: The Maryland Committee for Children also manages the Maryland Child Care Resource Network, a public/private partnership which works to improve the state's child care delivery system.
Maryland General Assembly: The Maryland General Assembly meets in Annapolis each year for 90 days to act on more than 2300 bills including the State's annual budget. The 415th Session begins January 10, 2001 and adjourns April 9, 2001. The General Assembly has 47 Senators and 141 Delegates elected from 47 districts.
