The Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) regarding the new certification policy for assistant principals, principals, and supervisors has been revised. The new licensure regulation requires all Maryland Institutions of Higher Education to integrate the framework outcomes into their administrative preparation programs.
The Critical Middle:a reason for hope – This report describes the specific recommendations supporting the goal of the Middle School Steering Committee that “all middle school students will be provided a rigorous and relevant core academic program that engages them in learning, develops critical literacy skills, and prepares them for high school success, postsecondary enrollment, and 21st-Century careers.”

Maryland Leadership Development Program Brochure (updated regularly) - This brochure describes the vision, belief statements, and mission for the Division for Leadership Development. It also describes the various components that make up the program.
Maryland Task Force on the Principalship (2000) - This report offers recommendations for redefining the role of the principal; recruiting, retaining, and rewarding principals; and improving their preparation and development.
