Maryland public libraries are the place to join a free summer reading club that offers programs and reading for fun to children and teens from birth through high school. Last summer more than 150,000 children and teens in Maryland participated in the Summer Reading Club.

Dig into Reading! is the theme for children birth through teen. Children can read their own books or they can be read to. Beneath the Surface is the theme for teens. Teens can choose their own reading material such as books, graphic novels, or listening to audio books.
Groundbreaking Reads is the theme for adults. Not all public libraries have adult summer reading but check with your local library. Programs are planned to interest children and teens, and the whole family. SPONSORS
