Youth Suicide Intervention

General suicide intervention guidelines for schools:

  • Detect suicidal students.
  • Supervise the student.
  • Notify the student's parent.
  • Assess the severity.
  • Refer for community services (e.g., mental health, mobile crisis response, law enforcement, child protective services, etc.)
  • Provide follow-up at school.
