BALTIMORE (March 14, 2005)
State Superintendent of Schools Nancy S. Grasmick appointed M-PAC in 2003 to generate a series of recommendations to increase parent involvement.  More than 120 parents, educators, and advocates from across the state have been meeting for more than a year to explore the issues.  Preliminary recommendations will be presented in a series of 24 public forums in each of Maryland’s jurisdictions to gather direct input before final recommendations are delivered to Dr. Grasmick and the State Board of Education in August.
