WHAT: A "Pre-Employment Training" event providing inmates from the academic and occupational education programs training for successful reintegration into the highly competitive job market.
WHO: Inmates at the Maryland Correctional Institute for Women (MCIW) will have the opportunity to interact with education and training representatives as well as community partners supporting offender employment. A few of the agencies and community representatives include, the Baltimore Mayor's Office of Employment Development/the ReEntry Center (REC); the Department of Labor Licensing and Regulation (DLLR); Women Entrepreneurs of Baltimore (WEB); National Women's Prison Project; Second Chance Learning Center; community colleges; and, the Maryland State Department of Education's (MSDE) Transition Mobile Unit.
