WHAT: Dr. Lowery will introduce herself to members of the Maryland PTA and share her goals for Maryland's education.

Representatives from the Maryland State Department of Education will present workshops that include an update on education reform; STEM; and overview of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Flexibility Plan and what parents should know.

The 97th Annual Maryland PTA Convention will be held Friday, July 13 through Saturday, July 14, 2012.
