Buy Carbon Offsets!

Several companies are now accepting donations to purchase carbon offsets for you. In addition, several online travel agencies now offer a way to conveniently pay to offset carbon emissions caused by a trip. According to the Washington Post article (June 10, 2007; P7), 100% of the funds go to their offset payment partner, but the partners differ in their own goals and policies. Research each one to find the cost, type of projects that are funded, and the transparency policies. You can go directly to each offset site or go through the travel company.
