M-PAC is Maryland's Parent Advisory Council, a statewide group of parents and advocates appointed by State Superintendent of Schools Nancy S. Grasmick in the fall of 2003. The council advised Dr. Grasmick and the State Board of Education on parent involvement issues ranging from policy to implementation.

M-PAC History (February 24, 2005) State Schools Superintendent Nancy Grasmick created Maryland's Parent Advisory Council (M-PAC) in 2003. Soon, M-PAC's preliminary recommendations on how best to get parents more involved in the education of their children will be presented in all 24 Maryland school districts.
