 Julia Z. Habash has been a mathematics teacher in Maryland's Charles County Public Schools for over thirty years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Bowie State University and a Master of Education in supervision and human relations from George Washington University. She was named Outstanding Mathematics Teacher of the Year in 2003 by the Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative. Mrs. Habash is the mathematics department chairperson at Smallwood Middle School and teaches mathematics part time at Prince George's County Community College. She takes pride in giving her students a new appreciation for mathematics and a positive attitude toward learning.
