Karla Eberspacher, Dorchester County's Teacher of the Year for 2007-2008, has been teaching in her native county for 9 ½ years. In 2006 Karla earned her Master's Degree in Special Education. Some notable accomplishments include: receiving a mini-grant from the Masonic Temple and assisting in the acquisition of three, Turning Point Pupil Responses Systems for Maple Elementary. She serves as the chairperson for the School Improvement Team and the National Network of Partnership Schools, school-based committee. Karla is a trained school-based coordinator for CHARACTER COUNTS! Recently, Karla was selected to participate in the Eastern Shore Consortium Math Partnership Grant Program.
