Maryland

Maryland Teacher Technology Standards developed by the Maryland State Department of Education in collaboration with two and four year colleges and local school systems, through a Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to Use Technology (PT3) grant.

National

NCATE  Logo The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) is the official body for accrediting teacher preparation programs. The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) is the professional education organization responsible for recommending guidelines for accreditation to NCATE for programs in educational computing and technology teacher preparation. The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETSoT), which focus on preservice teacher education, define the fundamental concepts, knowledge, skills, and attitudes for applying technology in educational settings.
