Responsible for developing and implementing the Department’s administrative and financial policies, procedures, and systems. This includes budget, accounting, administrative services, and financial reporting and coordination.

Adequacy Study
The Maryland General Assembly enacted new primary state education aid formulas in 2002, with a requirement to review these formulas approximately 10 years later to ensure that funding for K-12 education continues to be adequate for all students. We are overseeing an overseeing an independent contract to conduct this work — now under way — in collaboration with the Department of Legislative Services and the Department of Budget and Management.
