Maryland Meals for Achievement (MMFA) provides state funds to allow participating schools to implement free breakfast in the classroom. This model increases students’ access to and participation in breakfast. School administrators credit the MMFA with improving students' test scores, behavior, attendance, and wellbeing. Parents praise the program for assisting children to prepare for their academic day.
