SPECIAL NOTICE: As the State Board of Education transitions to in-person meetings, the Tuesday, February 23, 2021 meeting of the State Board of Education will be conducted in a hybrid manner. The meeting will be conducted via livestream with some Board Members attending in-person and will begin at 9 a.m. There will be no public access to the Nancy S. Grasmick State Education Building, 200 West Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21201. Members of the public will be able to hear the audio and see presentations in real time via the teleconference livestream below. The State Board of Education is pleased to receive public comment via telephone at each of its virtually-hosted meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to allow the State Board sufficient time for its other business, the total time allotted to public comment will generally be limited to thirty (30) minutes. Individuals seeking to speak to the Board will be given three (3) minutes each. Persons desiring to speak to the State Board, must call (410-767-0467) or e-mail (stateboard.msde@maryland.gov) the Board office no earlier than one week prior to the meeting to register to speak. Registration will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
