for Speakers of Other Languages from the College of Notre Dame. She
is a Fulbright scholar and taught family literacy in Baltimore City
before moving to Glen Burnie High School to teach ESOL in the newly
created International Academy. Ms. Sullivan is currently completing
a doctoral program in Instructional Leadership for a Changing Population.
As the only trainer for both cultural proficiency and sheltered instruction
in her county, she is leading the effort to advocate for ESOL students
by sharing best practices with mainstream teachers.
