School Library Media Program

The Maryland School Library Media Program provides leadership, coordination, and support services for the implementation of the Standards for School Library Media Programs in Maryland.  The School Library Media State Curriculum supports the integration of information and digital literacy skills throughout content areas.

An effective school library media program requires certified library media specialists and adequate support staff. The library media specialist is an essential partner in providing instruction and services that support the education program of the school.
