What makes us unique:

KIPP Baltimore is a member of the KIPP network, a national, non-profit network of more than 200 college-preparatory, public charter schools serving more than 100,000 students. Within the KIPP network, schools have a focus on providing students with more time learning. To enable our students to reach their academic goals, our schools feature an extended school day and extended calendar year. With this additional time, our teachers and staff support students to attain or exceed grade level proficiency in core subjects, acquire essential academic knowledge and skills, and become prepared for college and career choices. KIPP Baltimore’s longer day also allows time for children to experience key enrichment classes such as art, music, African American studies, and physical education. We have long been committed to ensuring that our students have access to these beneficial enrichment experiences, which increase the joy factor of the school day and foster the development of lifelong passions.

Mission and Vision:

The mission of KIPP Baltimore is, “to create and operate high-achieving, college preparatory schools that develop the knowledge, skills, and strengths necessary for our students to succeed in college and in life.”

We believe that educating our students in an environment that fosters a college-going culture helps build the mindsets, habits, and skills necessary for a choice-filled life. These mindsets, habits, and skills are combined with our organizational charge to hold ourselves and our students to high expectations, ensuring content mastery so that students can be successful in college preparatory high schools.

Principal's Message:

I am most proud of my school community when we work together in support of our students.  At KIPP, we believe firmly in the idea of Team and Family – that we all come together and support one another to do what is best for kids, no matter what it takes.
